Intermediate Distribution Frame
An Optical Distribution Frame (ODF) is used for termination and distribution of central-office backbone optical cables in fiber communication systems, enabling convenient connection, distribution, and scheduling of fiber circuits. As network integration increases, hybrid optical-digital distribution frames combining ODF, DDF, and power distribution units are used in small and medium distribution systems for FTTC, FTTB, remote modules, and wireless base stations.
