Drop Cable – GJYXCH Self-Supporting Metal Strength Member
GJYXCH self-supporting butterfly drop cable is primarily used for subscriber drop segments in FTTH networks, and is also suitable for subscriber drops in FTTO, FTTB, and other fiber access networks. The optical fiber is placed at the cable center, with two parallel phosphated steel wire strength members on both sides and an independent steel messenger wire as an additional load-bearing member, finished with a white or black LSZH flame-retardant jacket. The messenger wire provides higher tensile strength for self-supporting drop installations that require a defined span.
Product Features
Self-supporting design: An additional steel messenger wire improves tensile performance for self-supporting subscriber drop installations.
Metal strength structure: Two parallel phosphated steel wire strength members on both sides of the fiber enhance tensile and crush resistance, protecting the optical fiber.
Bend-insensitive fiber support: Compatible with B6-series bend-insensitive fiber for FTTH indoor drops with frequent bends and corners.
Compact and lightweight: The butterfly profile is easy to install in residential buildings and at the subscriber premises.
Easy stripping and splicing: A center groove design simplifies jacket removal, fiber splicing, and field maintenance.
LSZH flame-retardant jacket: Low-smoke zero-halogen jacket supports indoor cabling safety and environmental requirements.
