2795 kWh Energy Storage Cabinet Project

The project began in April, with construction starting in August and installation and commissioning completed by September. By October, the installation, commissioning, and acceptance of 13 energy storage cabinets at 5 locations were finished. Each energy storage cabinet has a capacity of 215 kWh.



The project is distributed across 7 key locations in Taizhou, Zhejiang, with each location equipped with a 215 kWh energy storage cabinet. The project has successfully been implemented, with a total of 20 MWh successfully installed, offering a new energy solution for local industrial, commercial, and residential users.

  • The project was launched in April 2024, with on-site solution design commencing.
  • Construction began in August 2024.
  • Installation and commissioning were completed by September 2024.
  • By October 2024, installation and commissioning of 13 energy storage cabinets at 5 locations were completed, and the National Grid’s distributed power project was successfully grid-connected and passed inspection.
  • By November 2024, all inspections were completed after 7 months.

Project Details

Application: User-side industrial and commercial energy storage, primarily used for industrial, commercial, and residential users. The system leverages peak-valley price arbitrage to reduce electricity costs.

The project employs a 100kW/215kWh (narrow-body cabinet) outdoor cabinet-type energy storage system. This system primarily serves to shave peaks and fill troughs, implementing scheduled charge and discharge control according to the peak and off-peak periods at the project site.

High-efficiency charging and discharging
Charging and discharging operations follow a daily cycle of two charges and two discharges: off-peak charging – peak discharge – off-peak charging – peak discharge. During single-unit operation, the power capacity is 100kW with a discharge depth of 90%, which is configurable.

The operational control system of the energy storage system itself shall provide comprehensive functions including internal equipment status monitoring and control, fault alarms and protection, and event logging.
