There are approximately 100,000 islands worldwide, and power supply for islands without a large grid is an important area for renewable energy microgrids. By introducing microgrid systems with photovoltaic (solar) power generation, wind power generation, and energy storage systems, surplus energy can be stored and continuously supplied to the island, providing reliable power around the clock.
